At Strange Fitness LLC, we believe that 50 is not the beginning of the end — it's the beginning of knowing yourself. We are here for Black women navigating the real, raw, and often unspoken journey of menopause, midlife, and everything in between. Through health coaching, personal training, and nutrition guidance rooted in science AND lived experience, we help you build a body and a life that feel good to you — on your terms, at your pace, in your skin.
It's a whole health and wellness experience built around you — your body, your season of life, your real everyday challenges, and your goals. Whether you're just starting or you've been at this for years and something just isn't working anymore, Strange Fitness meets you exactly where you are.
I built this because I saw a gap. Too many women — especially Black women in their 40s, 50s, and beyond — were being ignored, overlooked, or handed generic advice that had nothing to do with their actual lives. I wasn't having it. So Strange Fitness became the space where we tell the truth, do the work, and celebrate every single win along the way.
Here's What We Do
Personal Training: One-on-one training designed around your body, your fitness level, and your goals. Whether you want to get stronger, move better, lose weight, or feel good again — we build a plan that works for you, not against you. Available for both women and men, in person and virtually.
Group Fitness Classes: There is something powerful about moving together. My classes bring the energy, the community, and the fun — so working out doesn't feel like punishment. From fitness classes to indoor cycling, we move, we sweat, and we show up for each other.
Health & Nutrition Coaching: This is where we go deep. We look at how you eat, live, rest, and how stress is showing up in your body. Then we build a real, doable plan to help you feel better from the inside out. No crash diets. No unrealistic rules. Just honest, science-backed guidance that actually makes sense for your life.
Midlife: No Crisis (Signature Online Program)This is my heart program. Midlife: No Crisis is for Black women and women 45 and older who are navigating the very real, very misunderstood journey of perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause. Hot flashes, weight gain, brain fog, mood swings, low energy — we talk about all of it, openly and without shame. You'll walk away with tools, knowledge, community, and a whole new perspective on this season of your life because midlife is not a crisis. It's a calling.
Online Courses & Virtual Programs. Can't make it in person? No problem. Everything Strange Fitness offers is available virtually — coaching, training, programs, and more. You get the same real guidance, the same accountability, and the same results — from wherever you are.
Workshops & Webinars I love getting in a room — or a Zoom — with women who are ready to learn and ready to shift something. My workshops and webinars cover topics around health, menopause, nutrition, fitness, and midlife wellness. They're interactive, informative, and always rooted in real talk. Available both in person and online.
Speaking Engagements: If you are looking for a speaker who will keep it real, bring the knowledge, and leave your audience fired up and ready to take action — I'm your girl. Strange Fitness is for anyone who is ready to take their health seriously and needs real support to do it. But if I'm being honest about who I built this specifically for, it's Black women 45 and older. Women who are in the thick of menopause or heading toward it. Women who feel like their bodies have changed and nobody is giving them straight answers. Women who are done being the last priority in their own lives.
You deserve a space that sees you, hears you, and actually knows how to help you. That's what Strange Fitness is.

Hey, I'm Shera.
I'm a certified Health Coach, Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, and Indoor Cycle Instructor — born, raised, and still repping the South Side of Chicago. I've been doing this work for over 20 years, and I'm just as passionate about it today as I was on day one.
Here's what I believe: your health is not just about what happens in the gym. It's about your whole life — how you eat, how you sleep, how you handle stress, how you spend your time, and even how you talk to yourself. That's where my coaching starts. We look at the full picture, because that's where real change happens.
I keep it simple and real with you. No complicated programs you'll quit in two weeks. No shame about where you're starting. Just practical, science-backed steps that actually fit your life — your schedule, your body, your goals.
Are you stress-eating your way through the week? Running on no sleep and wondering why you can't find the energy to work out? Girl, I hear you. We're going to look at all of it — together. A certified Health Coach helps others achieve their health and wellness goals by encouraging, continued motivation, and trusted science-based information. A Certified Personal Trainer helps you reach your fitness goals by figuring out how to exercise safely. Providing motivation, consistency, clarity, confidence in avoiding injury, individual attention, sport-specific training, medical conditions, aging gracefully, and fun leads you to the best investments you'll make in your overall health and well-being.
